Apolonia Dressings are a harmony of flavors from around the world. As a child, Apolonia was taught how to cook by her grandmother in her home on the Greek Island of Santorini. This marked the beginning of her lifelong passion for bringing friends and family together over wholesome meals made from the heart. Apolonia always had a curious spirit, even from those early days in her grandmother’s kitchen, and as a young woman she traveled the world learning different regional cuisines and the flavors of foreign lands.

Apolonia Dressings are a culmination of those travels, and are a gift from her heart to your home.

Tell us a little about yourself and the company you own/run

Etienne Farah, founder of Apolonia Dressings and Catering Director of Alia’s Catering. While in high school, I started a catering company in 1997 out of my parents family restaurant in Southfield, MI. It began to flourish as I attended Oakland University, and then UDM Law School. I eventually left law school and took on the catering career full on, growing it into a company grossing about 1.8 million per year. During this time, our salad dressings used in the catering became rapidly popular and after a few years, I decided to bottle them and sell them in stores.

What is your location and when did you start/how long has the company been in business

The Apolonia Dressings main office is in Troy and the manufacturing is done in Southfield and soon Ferndale. Apolonia Dressings became a company in 2011, but the dressings have been around since 1999 within Alia’s Catering.

What makes your products special/unique

Our flavors are culturally influenced, meaning we have traveled around the world from the States to as far as Australia to gather the best recipes and ingredients. Our 2 main dressings, OILY + PINK, are very unique. They are unlike any other dressing out there. One great characteristic is they are 100% All-Natural, Gluten-Free and best of all Michigan-made.

What’s the favorite part about your job

From making the dressing, to bottling the dressing, I love the entire process. But the best part is when you hear someone say they are amazed by the dressings and have now become a staple in their homes.

Whats the best way to enjoy/eat/prepare/utilize your product

Our 5 flavors can be used of course as salad dressings, but they have alot more creative use behind them:

OILY [greek vinaigrette]: salad dressing, pasta salad mix, chicken marinade, sandwich spread, charcuterie board drizzle, etc…
PINK [creamy greek]: salad dressing, veggie dip, sandwich spread. pairs amazing with spinach.
RAZZ [raspberry vinaigrette]: salad dressing, fruit dip, wild game marinade.
HONEY [honey dijon]: salad dressing, brush on chicken, salmon or shrimp while cooking. sandwich spread.
RANCH [classic buttermilk]: salad dressing, veggie dip, sandwich spread, french fry dip, pizza crust dip, chicken tender dip.
