Ethel’s Edibles tagline ‘you won’t believe it’s gluten free’ is not short on truth. The pecan dandy bars we shipped for November had our tasters wide eyed and stuffed mouthed because they couldn’t believe these classic dessert bars are void of gluten. The best part is that Ethel’s Edibles has a whole line of goodies for the gluten adverse. Here’s what Jill had to say about making mouths happy regarding her special treats.
Tell us a little about yourself and the company you own/run
Sharing food has always been one of my passions. Celiac Disease has run in our family for over 30 years. Ethel’s goal is to provide the best gluten free baked goods in the market place today, bringing old fashioned crazy goodness to all, and to even surpass the goodness of traditional baked goods.
What is your location and when did you start/how long has the company been in business
Our bakehouse is located at 22314 Harper Avenue in St Clair Shores. We launched in 2011 as a wholesale gluten free baking company with our first deliveries in August of that year. Our first clients were Plum Markets and Westborn Markets. We just passed our two year anniversary.
What makes your products special/unique
The quality of our ingredients cannot be surpassed. We do not compromise. The fact the many customers have no idea that our items are gluten free and have no need to consume a gluten free diet is a huge milestone for us, and also a goal.
What’s the favorite part about your job
Bringing joy to others with food- seeing the pleasure register on their faces when they try our Pecan Dandy and more.
