Honey Old Fashioned | Michigan Recipes
Hi, Mitten Crate fans! I’m Lori – a recipe developer, food photographer, and author of the food blog Foxes Love Lemons. I live in Ferndale, and went to culinary school at Schoolcraft College. Shortly after I graduated, I started blogging to share simple yet special recipes for the “home chef” in all of us.
Mad Men is finally back on TV, and there’s nothing like tuning in with an Old Fashioned in your hand. This cocktail is traditionally made with a sugar cube, I’ve been known to substitute everything from honey to agave nectar to maple syrup. The Michigan’s Finest Honey honey straws that arrived in the March Mitten Crate will be working themselves into my cocktails for the near future.
